Four strong typhoons hit the Philippines recently in just a matter of days between each. This drastic event led to the recent massive flooding in Cagayan Valley, Philippines on Nov 12, 2020, of which 14 towns have been severely submerged in an unexpected roof-high flood that took away 67 lives including some children who were not rescued at the height of the event.
Many people lost their houses, and livelihood to which their children are most affected. This disaster made our heart cry for every Filipino affected by the typhoons that passed by and wrecked their homes especially their children who at a young age experienced such stressful events that may affect their health holistically.
When it comes to children welfare, we cannot just do nothing to help the poor children of Cagayan Valley who are experiencing difficulties right now, and even more after this flood that took the lives of some drowned children in the flood.
Chubibi’s advocacy is to make every child happy, and with this, we choose to act upon and invite our valued customers who are parents alike to join us in this cause.
Every year, we will be donating 10% of our store sales for humanitarian assistance and support community projects focused on children through our partner organizations worldwide.
We aim to make the children of less privileged families and communities worldwide to experience that genuine SMILE of happiness by giving them special gifts every Christmas and will be a regular year-end special, as our way to give back to society for your continuous patronage in our store.
With our Black Friday Week Sale this November 23 to Nov 30, 2020, we decided to give 10% of Chubibi’s total sales to the Children affected by the massive flood during Typhoon Ulysses.
This project is in partnership with JCI Tuguegarao Ybanag, a very active youth leadership organization in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Valley, Philippines. The group is well-known and trusted in doing relief operations and extending help to uplift their community especially in times of crisis.
